Cranberry Orange Smoothie That Is Good for Your Gut

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on Pinterest

Some days I go through the entire day and realize I haven’t done anything good for my gut — processed foods, excess sugar and alcohol all cause inflammation and can get your gut flora out of whack. The majority of the time I eat pretty clean, but if I’m ever having one of those crazy busy weeks where I’m stressed out, I know it will show up one way or another in my gut.

Your gut contains 70% of your immune system so it’s extra important to tend to it well — too much stress, fast food and bad night’s sleep can leave you sick. Whenever I’m busy and trying to keep my gut in balance, I make this smoothie. Not only is it tasty and can satisfy my sweet tooth with all the fruit, but it also contains my secret weapon — SB3.

Synbiotics SB3 is supplement containing probiotics, prebiotic fiber and vitamin C. It restores your natural gut flora, maintains your immune system and supports healthy digestion. With its single serve packets, it’s easy to take on the go and mix into whatever drink or smoothie I’m having that day.

Ingredients

1 c almond milk

2/3 c frozen cranberries

1 frozen banana

1/2 c yogurt

2 oranges (peeled and with seeds removed)

1 packet of SB3

Optional: Sweetener of choice if it’s too tart.

Directions

  1. Combine the almond milk, cranberries, banana, yogurt and oranges in a blender.
  2. Pour into a glass and stir in 1 packet of Synbiotics SB3.
  3. Enjoy!
